Caribbean films to watch in December

Last update: November 2022

If we follow the calendar from a Western religious perspective, December marks the end of the year. We take the time to look back at the last 11 months, we try to find some serenity with our family (or not, for that matter).

In these pandemic times, more than ever we need the entertainment to have a good time and warm our hearts. I’m back with a non-exhaustive list of Caribbean films that, for me, fulfill this function. Of course, as Caribbean films, they provide storylines with characters struggling for survival. This raises the question of our representation of happiness and its accessibility. Discussion for another day... However, the point here is to make you smile, laugh, and celebrate humanity. Some films can be streamed for free, others are available on VOD. Enjoy!
